The Imunify360 Security Suite is a flagship product of CloudLinux Inc., recognized for producing the leading OS in security and stability for hosting providers. Imunify360 offers a cutting-edge security solution specifically designed for shared and VPS/Dedicated servers, featuring an automated, user-friendly interface and a comprehensive six-layer security approach for robust attack prevention.
We are in search of a skilled Engineering Leader to take charge of the Cloud Antivirus Department at Imunify360. This role involves overseeing three specialized teams that are integral to Imunify's malware detection, analysis, and cloud scanning infrastructure. The successful candidate will blend profound technical acumen in malware analysis and distributed systems with exceptional people management skills and a strategic vision for product development.
The department is tasked with safeguarding millions of websites hosted on shared platforms through the Imunify360/ImunifyAV suite, processing vast volumes of files via a cloud-based antivirus pipeline, and managing the lifecycle of malware signatures from inception to deployment.
Teams Under Management
- Malware Team — Focused on on-server malware scanning and detection, employing signature-based and heuristic scanners, real-time file monitoring, malware cleaning, signature server management, and release engineering.
- Cloud Antivirus (CloudAV) Team — Managing a cloud-based malware analysis infrastructure, including a large-scale Airflow data processing cluster (24+ nodes), PHP emulator sandbox, automated signature generation, file classification pipelines, and hardware capacity planning.
- Malware Processing Team — Conducting malware analysis operations, including sample triage, signature creation, false negative/positive remediation, ML-assisted classification, vendor integrations, and remediation tooling.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Strategy
- Lead the introduction, ownership, and continuous enhancement of key performance metrics for antivirus products
- Define and prioritize the product roadmap across all three teams
- Drive product initiatives to meet ambitious key performance targets
- Collaborate with Product Management to address VIP customer requirements and conduct competitive analyses
- Integrate advanced AI tools within the malware detection lifecycle
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Oversee the complete malware detection pipeline, from file ingestion through cloud analysis to on-server verification.
