Role Overview
The Head of Market Analysis, Americas leads Vortexa’s regional analysis team from Houston. This senior role blends market analytics, team leadership, and public representation. The position shapes how Vortexa delivers insights to clients, industry stakeholders, and the media, and plays a key part in our global analysis leadership group.
What You Will Do
- Oversee analytical coverage of the Americas, demonstrating deep expertise in at least one major commodity (ideally LPG/NGLs, naphtha, or light ends).
- Turn trade, supply-demand, and pricing data into clear, actionable insights and forward-looking scenarios.
- Produce regular research reports, data-driven commentary, and market outlooks for customers and internal teams.
- Work with Commercial teams to support sales meetings, client pitches, and retention efforts with tailored analysis.
- Serve as a spokesperson for Vortexa at conferences, webinars, client events, and in industry publications and news outlets.
- Collaborate with Data and Product teams to maintain high data quality, ensure consistent analysis, and improve our platform.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with market participants to track trends, test ideas, and deepen understanding of the energy landscape.
- Lead, mentor, and develop market analysts in Houston and New York, including hiring, onboarding, and supporting professional growth.
Collaboration and Leadership
This position works closely with the Chief Economist to set and execute both global and regional analysis strategies. The Head of Market Analysis, Americas, also partners with analyst teams in other regions to deliver comprehensive coverage of waterborne energy and freight markets.
