Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Vehicle Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Familiarity with the functioning of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and over 3 years of relevant HIL development experience in the automotive sector. Proficient in at least one simulation software such as VTD, CarMaker, or PreScan, with a minimum of 2 years of usage experience; preference for CarMaker. Experience in sensor simulation (Radar/Camera) and vehicle dynamics simulation; prior experience with Camera VIB video injection is a plus. Knowledge of common automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet) capable of establishing communication in HIL systems. Able to integrate complex HIL systems involving both hardware and software components. Strong foundational skills in Python with over 2 years of development experience; experience in C or C++ is advantageous. Familiarity with simulation testing for assisted driving functions and evaluation metrics; end-to-end functional testing experience is preferred. Knowledge of programming assistance tools like Copilot is a plus. Excellent logical thinking abilities with a knack for quickly identifying and resolving technical issues. Strong self-motivation and sense of responsibility. Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and demonstrate solid teamwork skills.

About the job

  • Design and implement Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments tailored for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) feature validation based on project requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage HIL requirements and liaise with vendors to achieve effective HIL implementation and delivery.
  • Responsible for modeling and adapting Camera/Radar/LiDAR and vehicle dynamics in the HIL environment.
  • Adapt HIL development based on product characteristics, including updates to DBC/ARXML and adjustments driven by iterations in Camera technology.
  • Enhance sensor and vehicle models according to autonomous driving regulations and functional safety expectations (SOTIF), aiming to improve simulation confidence.
  • Develop HIL testing frameworks and automation scripts to elevate automation levels.
  • Implement HIL solutions into Continuous Integration/Continuous Testing (CI/CT) pipelines and troubleshoot any arising issues.
  • Maintain regular, in-depth communication with testing personnel, responsible for resolving HIL tool issues to enhance HIL stability.
  • Utilize Python to develop metrics for evaluating assisted driving functions.
  • Create automated scripts for scenario mining, data analysis, and data visualization using Python/SQL.
