As the HR Coordinator for Volunteer Affairs, you will serve as a vital partner to our office coordinators. You will assist in guiding volunteers, contribute to practical and policy-related HR issues, and ensure that volunteers feel welcomed, acknowledged, and valued. Your responsibilities will include maintaining communication with volunteers and office coordinators, organizing training sessions and meetings, and focusing on their well-being and development. This role significantly enhances the volunteer experience and fosters strong collaboration within the organization.

Additionally, you will work on improving and structuring all aspects related to the recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention of volunteers, thereby directly contributing to a robust and sustainable volunteer organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coaching Office Coordinators: You will guide, advise, and coach office coordinators in managing volunteers by helping them address challenges, develop talents, and enhance collaboration.

  • Developing and Implementing Volunteer Policy: You will structure and oversee the volunteer policy, ensuring coherence and quality in recruitment, guidance, and retention, thereby fostering positive collaboration between staff and volunteers.

  • Recruitment, Selection, and Onboarding: You will attract new volunteers, coordinate the selection process, and ensure a warm and professional onboarding experience that makes volunteers feel at home quickly.

  • Guidance and Development: You will maintain contact with volunteers and office coordinators, coordinate training sessions and meetings, monitor volunteer well-being, and contribute to a motivating volunteer experience.

  • Advisory and Collaboration: You will advise management and colleagues on volunteer policy and HR processes, identify trends and improvement opportunities, and contribute to the strategic development of the volunteer policy.

  • Administration and Process Optimization: You will manage contracts, changes, and reports, continuously optimizing HR processes related to volunteer management to ensure efficiency and sustainability.
