Your Role
As an HSE Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in bridging strategic safety goals with operational implementation across our distribution centers in France. You will be instrumental in nurturing a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with French labor laws, and pursuing continuous enhancements in workplace conditions. This position demands a proactive individual capable of navigating complex regulations while staying closely connected to the fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert corporate HSE policies into actionable plans specific to distribution centers and delivery hubs.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments (DUERP), internal audits, and detailed incident investigations to prevent future occurrences.
- Ensure adherence to the French Labor Code and environmental regulations at all sites. Maintain visibility on the shop floor, conduct inspections, and coach operational leaders on hazard identification.
- Apply process management methodologies to enhance safety workflows and advance the organization’s safety maturity.
- Support teams during organizational changes, ensuring HSE standards are prioritized during growth or transition phases.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree in HSE is a distinct advantage.
- Comprehensive understanding of French HSE legislation (Code du Travail), including logistics-specific requirements (e.g., CACES certifications, fire safety standards like ERP/ERT and ICPE regulations).
- 3–5 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in a distribution center, warehouse, or high-volume logistics setting.
- Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO 45001, 14001) is a plus.
- A strong affinity for road safety and fleet management is essential, given the nature of our last-mile delivery operations.
