The Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in delivering employee relations support to operations in Fremont, Ohio. This position collaborates with HR functions, front-line supervisors, and hourly employees to foster a positive workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities

The HR Generalist will engage in the following essential functions:

HR Generalist Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the recruitment process for salaried positions as designated;
  • Assist in attracting and retaining hourly employees;
  • Manage and oversee the FMLA program;
  • Support benefit administration;
  • Ensure adherence to EEO regulations;
  • Provide assistance in employee relations matters.

HR Project Engagement:

  • Collaborate with the HR VP, HR Director, and HR Manager to contribute to Pixelle-wide HR initiatives across various domains including Compensation, Benefits, Recruitment, Employment, and Employee Relations.

Administrative Support Duties:

  • Maintain accurate employee data for hourly staff in the HRIS database (UKG), including updates on hires, terminations, promotions, and job changes; serve as a backup for salaried employee data management.
  • Coordinate with Payroll to ensure employee updates are accurately reflected in UKG, guaranteeing proper compensation.
  • Analyze HR processes and recommend enhancements for efficiency and cost reduction; undertake special projects to streamline tasks and optimize technology utilization.
  • Drive positive organizational change through effective coaching, counseling, and influence.
  • Assist in facilitating conflict resolution with supervision.
