Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Proven experience as an ISSO or in a similar security role, preferably within governmental environments. Thorough understanding of security protocols, risk management frameworks, and compliance requirements. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are highly desirable.

As an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) at CGS Federal, you will be an integral part of our mission, working directly on-site with U. S. Government clients to uphold the security and compliance of a production-grade data and application platform utilized in critical mission environments. You will take on the pivotal role of the primary authority for system security and compliance, engaging hands-on with live systems while collaborating closely with engineers, operators, and the customer’s security teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main on-site contact for security and compliance requirements across various U. S. Government clients.
- Facilitate system accreditation and authorization efforts using frameworks such as Risk Management Framework (RMF) or Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP).
- Collaborate with software, systems, and field engineers to ensure proper implementation of mandatory security controls, configurations, and policies.
- Evaluate deployed software solutions and ensure compliance with relevant security criteria.
- Develop, standardize, and maintain essential security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), control narratives, and supporting materials.
- Generate, verify, and categorize evidence of compliance following security settings application.
- Organize accreditation artifacts into a systematic, auditable repository.
- Assist with audits, assessments, and ongoing compliance activities throughout the system lifecycle.
- Ensure continuous security and trust of clients through proactive system access and coordination with engineering teams.
