Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:Evaluate systems for potential security vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements to mitigate risks. Oversee cybersecurity risk management from an organizational perspective. Identify and prioritize organizational risks, maintaining a comprehensive risk registry for senior leadership review. Offer security guidance and information system validation based on NIST RMF, DoC, and local security policies. Provide configuration management recommendations for security tools and coordinate changes with the ISSM, SCA, and AO. Ensure compliance with vulnerability scanning tools and patch management directives. Support the transition from DIACAP to DoC RMF compliance. Serve as a subject matter expert in cybersecurity and trusted system technology.

We are looking for a skilled professional with experience in DIACAP and/or RMF, particularly in security assessment documentation, to help support the Department of Commerce in achieving their Authorization to Operate (ATO).
This full-time position involves managing the complete life-cycle Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process through all six steps of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) while conducting security assessments and overseeing information system security activities in compliance with NIST 800.53 and RMF requirements.
