The Chief Information Officer (CIO) of a Law Enforcement Agency is seeking dynamic Information Systems Security Officers (ISSO) to enhance cybersecurity measures. This is an on-site position located in Washington, DC, requiring an active Top-Secret clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily implementation and monitoring of security configurations, practices, and procedures for information systems.
- Act as a liaison between system owners and information security personnel to ensure effective communication and security measures.
- Verify that chosen security controls are effectively implemented throughout all phases of the information system lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system security documentation, ensuring it is continuously updated.
- Conduct required vulnerability scans in accordance with risk assessment parameters.
- Create Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) to address identified security vulnerabilities.
- Manage risks to information systems and FBI assets by coordinating corrective or mitigative actions and ensuring timely completion of POAMs.
- Ensure system owner concurrence for corrective actions.
- Monitor security controls for FBI information systems to uphold security Authorizations to Operate (ATO).
