Red Sky is at the forefront of technology innovation, rapidly building and validating new startup technologies. We prioritize speed and agility, allowing us to design, prototype, and launch products quickly while testing them with real users and in actual markets. Our MVP team engages with multiple startup concepts simultaneously, transforming ideas from initial prototypes all the way to production-ready products.
Unlike conventional engineering positions that focus on maintaining existing systems, this role immerses you in the venture-building process, where you'll contribute to software development as well as the broader startup ecosystem.
This position involves:
- Creating new products from the ground up
- Engaging with various startup concepts
- Collaborating closely with product builders and founders
- Influencing early-stage technology decisions
Your Responsibilities
As part of the MVP team, you will play a key role in converting startup ideas into functional software. Your focus will be on ensuring that rapid prototypes evolve into stable and scalable software solutions. We utilize modern AI tools to enhance our development processes, but this role necessitates a thoughtful approach rather than a reliance on AI-generated code alone.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing clean and maintainable software architecture
- Developing a framework for products at various development stages
- Building prototypes for innovative startup concepts
- Transforming demos into full-fledged applications
- Creating production-ready, AI-enhanced products
- Reviewing and refining AI-generated code
- Providing technical support to multiple Red Sky ventures
- Ensuring high standards of code quality, architecture, and reliability
Who We Are Looking For (Must-Have)
- Proven experience in building software
- Comfortable with reviewing and enhancing AI-generated code
- Strong commitment to clean code, architecture, and reliability
- Passion for developing products from scratch
- Adaptable to a fast-paced startup environment
- Experience with AI tools is advantageous but solid engineering fundamentals are crucial.
Tech Stack
Core Knowledge:
- Node.js (TypeScript), Python
- Familiarity with various API construction approaches: REST/GraphQL, and experience with OpenAPI for documentation
Data & Retrieval:
- Relational databases: PostgreSQL / MySQL
- Vector stores & RAG pipeline (embeddings → retrieval → context)
- Experience in architecting and securing SaaS-type databases like Supabase
Infrastructure, Containers & CI/CD:
- Cloud platforms: AWS / GCP (managed services)
