Qualifications

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural or Architectural/Structural Engineering.8-15 years of structural engineering experience, with a focus on designing concrete, masonry, steel, and wood structures, including gravity and lateral systems. Proficient in current structural software (ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RAM, ADAPT, RISA, Enercalc). A goal-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail. In-depth understanding of commercial building materials, systems, and assemblies. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

We are currently seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer.

Position Overview

As a Structural Engineer/Structural Designer at DLR Group, you will play a key role in designing structural systems from concept through construction administration across various building types. Collaborating within our integrated design team, you will create structures that enhance human experiences through thoughtful design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive structural designs from initial concept through to construction completion.
  • Prepare precise engineering design calculations and structural system layouts.
  • Draft detailed engineering reports and narratives.
  • Coordinate structural design requirements with architectural and other engineering disciplines.
  • Create construction documents utilizing Revit software.
  • Write and review technical specifications.
  • Assess shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary.
  • Engage collaboratively with architects, engineers, and clients as part of our holistic design approach.
