What You BringMBO work and thinking level, preferably in mechanical engineering or automotive technology, or equivalent knowledge gained through experience. Basic knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, and vehicle technology. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Familiarity with applicable occupational health and safety regulations. A willingness to learn, enthusiasm, and readiness to potentially take courses.

About the job

As a Maintenance Technician intern, you will be an integral part of the Technical Service team at J. van Vliet located in our Service Center in Amsterdam. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting as a maintenance or troubleshooting technician on our equipment.
  • Ensuring the optimal functioning of machines and tools.
  • Maintaining and repairing diverse equipment including vessels, barges, trucks, unloading cranes, pumps, generator sets, and grabs.
  • Expanding your knowledge and experience in the field.
