AlixPartners is seeking an IT Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality assurance for Corporate Applications Development & Platform Support. This hybrid role is based in Southfield, MI, with in-office work on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and remote work options on Monday and Friday.
Role overview
This manager leads a global team of Quality Assurance Analysts, including direct hires, contractors, and vendors. The focus is on understanding business processes, systems, and applications, while ensuring that testing protocols support business needs. The manager is responsible for maintaining and improving automated testing processes using AlixPartners’ QA tools.
What you will do
- Lead and manage the QA team, including internal staff, contractors, and vendors.
- Validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements and use cases for new projects.
- Work closely with Business Analysis, Project Management, Business Relationship Managers, and Software Developers to support the QA function.
- Oversee all QA activities throughout the project lifecycle: test strategy, test cases, scripts, test data, results, metrics, backlog grooming, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop and maintain QA standards, templates, guidelines, methodologies, and processes.
- Assist in selecting and integrating QA tools with application development and project management teams.
- Support QA activities across waterfall, iterative, and agile methodologies.
- Enhance and sustain automated testing processes.
Reporting structure
This position reports to the Application Development & Platform Support Director.
