Role overview
The IT Security Engineer will help build, maintain, and improve Transmit Security’s enterprise security infrastructure. The position focuses on managing and enhancing security measures across network, endpoint, cloud, and email systems, aiming to keep company environments secure and resilient against evolving cyber threats.
What you will do
- Administer FortiGate firewalls by configuring policies, setting up VPNs, monitoring network traffic, and managing firmware updates. Hands-on experience with next-generation firewalls, especially FortiGate, is required.
- Oversee Cisco Meraki cloud-managed networking, including security appliances and implementing network segmentation policies.
- Manage Netskope CASB and SASE solutions to enforce cloud security policies, apply data loss prevention (DLP), and secure access to cloud applications.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents using CrowdStrike EDR, including threat hunting, investigations, containment, and remediation of endpoint threats.
- Operate the Abnormal Security platform to detect and respond to advanced email threats such as business email compromise, phishing, and account takeover attempts.
- Administer Kandji MDM for Apple devices, ensuring compliance, software deployment, and enforcement of security policies across Mac and iOS endpoints.
- Secure and manage Google Workspace by controlling user access, adjusting security settings, and monitoring audit logs.
- Create and maintain security documentation, playbooks, and incident response protocols.
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps/R&D teams to implement security best practices across the organization.
- Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk analyses.
- Stay informed about emerging threats and security trends to continually strengthen the company’s security posture.
