Job Description and Responsibilities:

As an IT Systems Engineer, you will set the standard for technical leadership and customer support at Neuralink. Your role will involve identifying and prioritizing impactful projects that shape our team's roadmap. You will work across the entire technology stack, from physical hardware to custom tools that facilitate neural recordings and scalable cloud services.

Our diverse user base includes both highly skilled engineers and non-technical professionals such as scientists and doctors. All users depend on robust systems, reliable networking, and resilient software to perform their roles effectively. IT Systems Engineers proactively identify opportunities for enhancement and collaborate with team members to achieve remarkable results. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, implementing, and deploying open-source, off-the-shelf, or custom systems that fulfill our rigorous requirements.
  • Monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing the performance and security of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud services, and applications.
  • Providing expert technical support to end-users through a tier-1 rotation.
  • Mentoring team members and serving as a tier-2/3 support resource for complex technical challenges.
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and internal security policies by implementing effective security protocols and conducting regular audits.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for systems and processes to promote knowledge sharing and ensure business continuity.
