Responsibilities may encompass strategic initiatives in Policy Administration, Work Management, and Underwriting Workstation, leveraging advanced technologies and methodologies to progressively deliver essential business functionalities while adhering to architectural best practices for reusability and multi-device deployment.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop portal and portlet-level solutions.Create server-side components to meet front-end specifications.Incorporate and communicate innovative concepts, techniques, and best practices.Collaborate closely with UX designers, business partners, analysts, and architects to deliver user-friendly software that fulfills business requirements.Transform wireframes into functional prototypes for business review and usability testing.Develop HTML, CSS, and JavaScript components.Partner with WebSphere portal architects to convert CSS and other resources into portal themes, layouts, and skins.Work in tandem with backend engineers to devise optimal solutions with user experience as a priority.Required Qualifications:Minimum of two years of experience in WebSphere Portal.Proficiency with Java-based Portal Technologies (JSR286).Experience with development platforms such as J2EE.Knowledge of web service design principles.Strong JavaScript development skills.Preferred Qualifications:Exceptional technical design and programming capabilities.Expertise in JavaScript frameworks, especially Sencha ExtJS, is highly desirable.
