Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 4th Grade Elementary Education Teacher to join our team at a public elementary school in Kershaw, SC. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Education, a valid South Carolina Teaching license, and a minimum of 1 year of teaching experience. This is a contract position focused on delivering comprehensive general education instruction to 4th-grade students, fostering their academic and personal growth throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet state standards for 4th-grade education.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success.
- Collaborate with fellow educators, parents, and school staff to enhance the educational journey of students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavioral conduct.
- Engage in school meetings, professional development opportunities, and other educational functions as required.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) Teaching License in Elementary Education.
- Preferred experience teaching general education at the elementary level.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient classroom management abilities.
- Strong commitment to fostering student achievement and growth.
Additional Position Details:
- Location: Onsite at an elementary school in Kershaw, South Carolina.
- Weekly Commitment: 40 hours per week with potential for overtime upon approval.
