About the Role
As an Account Executive at Chalk, you will report directly to the Head of Revenue. Your primary responsibility will be to drive new business through a technical and consultative sales process targeting high-growth, venture-backed companies. You will identify new business opportunities and potential customers across various verticals. Your understanding of technical products and services will allow you to effectively communicate their value to clients. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as an early employee and make a meaningful impact within a rapidly growing startup.
This is an in-office position, requiring attendance five days a week. We offer flexibility for unavoidable conflicts, but this is not a hybrid role.
What You Will Do
- Identify potential customers and generate new business opportunities
- Design and implement innovative sales strategies to surpass revenue targets
- Analyze market trends to shape Chalk’s sales playbook
- Adopt a consultative approach to sales by understanding customer needs and technical challenges
- Develop expertise in Chalk’s offerings and address customer inquiries
- Lead product presentations and demonstrations, collaborating with ML Engineers
- Negotiate pricing and terms
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, and Marketing teams
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in technical sales, with at least 2 years in a startup environment, ideally focusing on enterprise B2B or developer tools
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas
