Account Executive – Multifamily - Channel Sales
Are you ready to make an impact in the rapidly evolving PropTech industry? PointCentral, a dynamic venture unit of Alarm.com, is on the lookout for an ambitious Account Executive (AE) to spearhead new business efforts in the Multifamily and Build-to-Rent markets.
This is a channel-first sales role, where our success is built through our network of Service Providers (Dealers) who serve as both partners and customers. As the AE, you will take ownership of the early stages of the sales cycle, focusing on cultivating trust, alignment, and mutual success with PointCentral Service Providers. Whether you are prospecting ownership groups, participating in conferences, or leading product demonstrations, your role is to build partnerships and position Service Providers as co-owners in the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of the sales cycle, including Prospecting, Discovery, Solution Overview, Partner Introduction, and collaborating with Service Providers to close deals.
- Engage in various sales activities such as prospecting, conducting discovery calls, demos, and attending conferences, all with the understanding that channel success is paramount.
- Drive new business growth in a defined territory, focusing on depth rather than breadth.
- Collaborate with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to leverage warm leads and expand into targeted ownership/operator accounts, ensuring appropriate engagement of Service Providers.
- Partner closely with Solutions Engineers for technical discovery, product demonstrations, and RFP responses, while reinforcing the role of Service Providers as the installation, service, and support arm.
- Foster long-term relationships with Service Providers/Dealers, positioning them as essential partners in the customer journey.
- Travel to high-density metropolitan areas to build pipelines with key prospects and support joint customer and partner engagement.
- Maintain disciplined pipeline management in Salesforce, accurately reporting on unit pipeline and deal progression.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
This AE should have experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Industry Knowledge – Familiarity with Multifamily, Build-to-Rent, or Student Housing.
- SaaS/IoT/PropTech Product Experience – Proven experience in selling software, IoT, or connected solutions.
