Your Role
We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting team. This pivotal position focuses on managing the General Ledger for our glasses division, The Framery, and supervising the Inventory Process for both the 1-800 Contacts and The Framery businesses, including glasses manufacturing. Your responsibilities will include preparing journal entries, conducting reconciliations, and leading a talented team, with both internal and external components.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead advanced accounting management, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting during monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Manage inventory accounting, including standard costing, inventory reserves, cycle counts, and cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis.
- Handle revenue and expense accounting while interpreting and applying accounting guidance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, controls, and system functionality.
- Collaborate across departments including operations, purchasing, FP&A, HR, and IT.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Execute other accounting tasks as assigned.
