About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Technician to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will actively engage in daily accounting operations and support the integrity of the accounting cycle within a dynamic and evolving environment, collaborating closely with the Financial Controller and the accounting team.
This role provides a valuable opportunity to gain insights into various aspects of financial operations and to assist in the continuous enhancement of our accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable, including invoice validation, entry, payment preparation, and follow-up.
- Manage accounts receivable, encompassing billing, recording collections, and monitoring outstanding balances.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with payroll processing and necessary payroll adjustments.
- Maintain accurate accounting records within the accounting system.
- Perform various general ledger account reconciliations.
- Support month-end activities, including reconciliations, analyses, and documentation.
- Prepare government filings (GST/QST, payroll remittances, etc.).
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
- Contribute to the enhancement of administrative and accounting processes.
- Perform other duties related to daily accounting operations.
