Essential Responsibilities:As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for:Delivering instruction in both classroom and laboratory settings related to the Respiratory Care curriculum.Enhancing student learning and mastery of key outcomes through the utilization of relevant educational tools and technology.Assessing students' psychomotor, affective, and cognitive competencies.Fostering a respectful and inclusive learning environment.Providing feedback on student progress to the Program Manager.Exemplifying outstanding teaching effectiveness as reflected in positive instructor evaluations.Minimum Qualifications:Applicants must possess:An Associate Degree in a relevant field.Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials from the National Board for Respiratory Care.Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.The ability to obtain a Maryland Respiratory Care Practitioner License within six months of hire if the current license is from another state.A minimum of three years of full-time professional experience in respiratory care.Preferred Qualifications:Candidates with the following attributes will be given preference:Minimum of one year of classroom teaching experience.At least one year of experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Blackboard Learning Management System.Skills in adapting teaching strategies to accommodate cultural diversity.
