Who Are You?We welcome everyone to our team, particularly candidates with a refugee background.You are preferably available starting in April and intend to stay for at least 6 months.You can commit to a minimum of 3 half-days (12 hours) per week, preferably on Tuesdays and Thursdays.A background in a relevant field, such as administration/secretarial work, European studies, or international relations, is advantageous.Ideally, you possess at least a bachelor's level of thinking and working.You are flexible, proactive, and bring a strong sense of enthusiasm and dedication.Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential. Dutch is a plus but not mandatory.You can work in a dynamic environment and are resilient under stress.You are a team player and are not afraid to contribute your ideas.You have strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
About the job
The International Team within the Advocacy Department is dedicated to the protection and integration of asylum seekers and refugees across Europe through policy influence and international partnerships. We advocate for European solidarity, relocation, and safe routes, while supporting local organizations in countries such as Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Spain, Turkey, the Balkans, and CuraƧao. Our projects focus on countering pushbacks, violence, detention, inhumane reception conditions, and ensuring access to asylum procedures, as well as strengthening refugee-led organizations.
Your Contribution:
As a volunteer, you will assist the International Team with its daily operations related to international projects, communications, and campaigns. Responsibilities include:
Assisting in organizing training sessions, meetings (including online), and study visits for partners to the Netherlands and colleagues abroad.
Booking travel arrangements such as tickets, hotels, and handling logistics.
Managing financial and administrative tasks related to projects.
Researching background information for new projects, campaigns, and funding opportunities.
