Your Role
As an Advanced Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Technician in our Renewables Operations and Maintenance (OM) division, you will engage in operations and maintenance tasks, along with manual labor at commercial and industrial solar energy sites across the United States. Candidates should ideally be located within 50 miles of Houston, Texas.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and execute preventive maintenance for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.
- Conduct Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures as an authorized personnel under proper LOTO conditions.
- Lead daily safety and task planning sessions, including pre-task planning, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs).
- Maintain professional interactions with vendors and clients.
- Collaborate as a team member to oversee site operations, prioritizing safety, quality, and efficiency.
Note: Specific duties may evolve over time based on business and client requirements.
Core Qualifications
- 2-4+ years of experience in electrical systems and components.
- 2-4+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector is preferred.
- A strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to identify potential issues and provide safe solutions.
- Post-secondary education is preferred.
- Electrical certifications such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA are preferred.
