We are seeking a passionate and skilled Advanced Pastry Instructor to deliver specialized training in high-level culinary techniques. This role is essential for cultivating advanced gastronomic skills among students, while encouraging creativity, innovation, and adherence to industry standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, organize, and implement comprehensive teaching programs in advanced culinary arts.
- Provide instruction on international cuisine, fine dining techniques, pastry arts, and gourmet presentation.
- Supervise culinary practices to ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations.
- Evaluate student performance through both theoretical and practical assessments.
- Stay abreast of culinary trends, emerging techniques, and technological advancements in the kitchen.
- Oversee the proper utilization of kitchen equipment, tools, and ingredients within the educational environment.
- Collaborate on menu development and innovative gastronomic projects.
- Maintain discipline and professionalism within the classroom setting.
- Prepare thoroughly for all instructional activities.
- Ensure all culinary equipment is functional and in good working order.
- Select and utilize appropriate instructional materials for effective teaching.
- Gather feedback from industry advisors to continually enhance curriculum relevance.
- Timely submission of Evaluation of Student Progress (ESP) reports as required.
- Document student achievement on Training Achievement Records (E-TAR) and for inclusion in ETA 640.
- Record daily student attendance in the CIS system.
- Design instructional approaches tailored to meet individual student needs.
- Maintain a high performance standard in Career Technical Training (CTT) reports.
- Ensure that at least 90% of enrolled students complete their Career Technical Training Primary Credentials.
- Achieve a trade completion rate of 70% or higher.
- Ensure timely completion of Career Technical Skills Training (CTST) projects, when applicable.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
