Key Responsibilities:
Policy Research & Analysis:
Monitor and analyze AI policy developments across federal, state, and international platforms, including legislative, regulatory, executive actions, and emerging debates.
Create policy briefs and strategic recommendations regarding AI regulation, safety, competition, privacy, and related topics.
Assess AI's effects on employment, the economy, and society, offering guidance on how Democratic stakeholders can effectively respond.
Investigate strategies for countering AI-generated misinformation during elections.
Messaging & Communications Strategy:
Design and conduct survey research and message testing to gauge voter perceptions of AI and public opinion on related matters.
Leverage Blue Rose’s research to draft messaging guides, talking points, and strategic communication frameworks for Democratic stakeholders.
Translate complex technical and policy concepts into clear, engaging language suitable for political audiences.
Stakeholder Engagement & Thought Leadership:
Assist BRR’s leadership in client presentations and stakeholder briefings concerning AI-related subjects.
Represent Blue Rose Research as a subject matter expert on AI and politics at conferences, events, and discussions.
Establish BRR as a trusted resource on AI policy and messaging within the Democratic ecosystem.
Product Development:
Collaborate with BRR's data science and engineering teams to incorporate AI policy expertise into our research products and tools.
Contribute insights on leveraging existing message testing infrastructure to enhance client services regarding AI-related inquiries.
Identify opportunities for product innovation and enhancement based on AI trends.

Blue Rose Research is on the lookout for an innovative AI Politics Fellow to assist Democratic officials, candidates, and progressive organizations in navigating the rapidly changing landscape of artificial intelligence. This full-time, one-year fellowship offers the potential for transition to a permanent role. The Fellow will be tasked with crafting memos, designing research instruments, and developing policy frameworks that empower Democrats to respond effectively to this cultural moment with well-informed messaging and strategic approaches regarding AI.
Reporting directly to the Director of External Affairs, the Fellow will act as Blue Rose Research's in-house authority on AI policy and politics. This role involves close collaboration with our data scientists, researchers, and client-facing teams to seamlessly integrate AI expertise into our diverse range of products and services.
