- Assess inputs to ensure optimal selection of materials, treatments, and production methods for specific applications.
- Prepare Bill of Materials to support production and purchasing/logistics operations.
- Identify challenges and propose solutions to fulfill established requirements and objectives, or to resolve issues.
- Provide management with necessary information for planning, executing, or controlling technical activities, including:
- Defining activity plans and reporting on the status of project tasks.
- Offering work estimates and projections while alerting to potential problems and deviations.
- Implement cost-reduction strategies by applying lean principles to processes and design choices.
