What You’ll Do:
- Contribute to the design and development of major structural airframe assemblies from initial design through the certification process and into manufacturing.
- Utilize a deep understanding of load paths, design best practices, and hand calculations to create durable structural designs.
- Implement design for manufacturing principles to ensure cost-effective and easily fabricable designs.
- Engage in composite sandwich construction and adhesive bonding techniques.
- Assist in establishing company standards for CAD models and technical drawings of composite and metallic parts.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams focused on design, stress analysis, and materials and processes.
- Provide technical insights on design considerations, weighing risk against cost and performance.
- Support manufacturing teams in validating that designs meet specified requirements.
