The Bureau of Examinations within DCAS is responsible for the development, validation, and administration of Civil Service examinations. Our team conducts field observations, interviews to identify job function essentials, and creates job analysis questionnaires. We analyze data to formulate test plans and manage the testing process for employment and promotions across various NYC government agencies.
The Computer-based Testing & Application Centers (CTACs) in all five boroughs provide year-round access to computer-administered civil service exams. These centers offer in-person assistance to the public for exam applications and payments, and provide crucial information regarding civil service processes and requirements. The CTACs are also responsible for the secure and equitable administration of competitive, promotional, and practical civil service examinations, along with related post-exam events.
The Administration, Customer & Exam Support (ACES) unit is looking for an Applications Center Aide/Greeter to join our team at the Brooklyn CTAC. This role entails:
- Ensuring center coverage during operational hours.
- Welcoming and assisting visitors as they arrive.
