Your role will encompass greeting guests with genuine hospitality, ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, and maintaining a seamless flow of communication between the bar, kitchen, and dining room. Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly welcome guests with eye contact and a friendly demeanor.
- Effectively communicate guest needs to fellow team members and management.
- Participate actively in pre-shift meetings to ensure a cohesive team environment.
- Provide water service and non-alcoholic beverages as needed.
- Adhere to the established sequence of service while following room management procedures.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of food and beverage items and specifications.
- Prepare garnishes, syrups, and all ingredients required for service daily.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in liquor and beer storage areas.
- Oversee the setup, labeling, stocking, and delivery of beverages and supplies.
- Have complete knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, and non-alcoholic selections.
- Perform quality checks on bar stock and supplies using established checklists.
- Assist with rearranging furniture as per the floor plan.
- Engage with guests throughout their service to ensure satisfaction.
- Complete opening and closing side work diligently.
- Uphold health code standards consistently.
- Maintain table cleanliness with a discreet service approach.
- Bid farewell to guests, using their names whenever possible, and invite them to return.
- Demonstrate professionalism at all times.
- Anticipate and respond to guests’ needs with a sense of urgency.
- Collaborate as a team to meet the needs of guests and colleagues.
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
- Be knowledgeable about hotel services and local attractions to assist guests accurately.
- Maintain a working knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink.
- Complete ongoing side tasks, including folding napkins and polishing glassware.
