As an Area Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing production operations while fostering a positive work environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Engaging in respectful communication with all employees and leads.
- Coaching and developing shift hourly associates to enhance their skills.
- Equipping employees with the necessary tools and training for success.
- Updating managers with daily production knowledge and reporting critical information.
- Resolving employee issues with effective problem resolution strategies.
- Maintaining timely email communication.
- Balancing quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve optimal results.
- Driving continuous improvement of processes within the department.
- Managing departmental performance measures and providing progress reports.
- Conducting daily shift and safety meetings with employees.
- Interviewing candidates for nonexempt shifts in your department.
- Conducting accident investigations and notifying management as needed.
- Tracking absenteeism and timekeeping on a daily basis.
