ARTnews: UK Staff Reporter
ARTnews, the premier global authority in art journalism, is on the lookout for a dedicated UK-based staff reporter. Reporting directly to the Executive Digital Editor, the successful candidate will produce an average of two online articles daily, complemented by several in-depth features each month.
The ideal applicant will be a proactive, independent journalist prepared to act as ARTnews's eyes and ears in London and the wider European art scene. As the sole representative in the area, you must be self-motivated, communicative, and adept at managing various facets of the art beat—ranging from profiles of emerging dealers and artists to Q&As with auction house experts and collectors, as well as analytical pieces exploring artists' markets across categories from Old Masters to Ultra-Contemporary.
Your contributions will also include writing for On Balance, our weekly newsletter focused on the art market, along with coverage of auctions and fairs, particularly concerning sales in London, Paris, and Switzerland. A strong command of language is crucial, as is a degree of comfort with editing; you will share the responsibility of writing and editing our morning newsletter, Breakfast With ARTnews.
