How You'll Contribute to the Team:
The Assistant Director of Facilities plays a crucial role in the daily execution and operational management of all maintenance and facilities activities within the designated portfolio. This position directly supervises field operations, including maintenance technicians, supervisors, and warehouse/inventory teams, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to the established standards. The Assistant Director serves as the primary operational leader, supporting the Director of Facilities by translating strategies, policies, and programs into consistent field execution.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Direct daily maintenance and facilities operations, encompassing preventive, predictive, planned, make-ready, and emergency maintenance activities.
- Ensure work orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established service-level expectations.
- Maintain operational awareness of assigned communities through regular site visits and active field engagement.
- Assist the Director of Facilities in executing community management plans and operational priorities.
- Provide direct oversight, coaching, training, and performance management for maintenance managers, supervisors, technicians, and warehouse staff.
- Reinforce accountability by communicating clear expectations and providing timely feedback.
- Foster a resident-first, service-oriented culture within field teams.
- Execute and monitor maintenance activities to maintain high standards of service delivery.
