The Assistant General Manager plays a vital role in supporting the General Manager with the daily operations and management of Miss J's Cafe. Responsibilities encompass supervising team members, upholding operational standards, delivering outstanding customer service, overseeing inventory and food safety, and driving sales success. As a leader and role model, the AGM is also expected to manage the café in the absence of the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure seamless restaurant operations.
Assist in recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervision of staff.
Ensure adherence to company policies, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
Manage inventory levels, place supply orders, and minimize waste.
Maintain exceptional food quality, cleanliness, and customer service standards.
Professionally address and resolve customer complaints and concerns.
Support management of labor and food costs within budgetary constraints.
Ensure accurate cash handling and banking processes are followed.
Foster a positive and productive working environment.
Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges.
