Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management:
- Support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations to guarantee a seamless and efficient restaurant environment.
- Ensure all food items comply with Sbarro’s high standards, from preparation to presentation.
- Implement and uphold operational standards and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
- Monitor food safety and sanitation standards to maintain a safe, clean environment for guests and staff.
- Assist in executing opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, equipment inspections, and securing the restaurant.
2. Team Leadership & Staff Management:
- Oversee, train, and mentor restaurant staff to ensure they perform their tasks effectively.
- Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining top-tier team members.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively to ensure workload balance and meet operational needs.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to foster employee growth.
- Create a positive, team-oriented culture that promotes collaboration and outstanding customer service.
3. Customer Service Excellence:
- Guarantee a positive dining experience by upholding high standards of service, food quality, and cleanliness.
- Address customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
- Lead by example in customer interactions, showcasing exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
4. Financial Management & Cost Control:
- Assist in managing restaurant finances, including sales tracking, cost control, and inventory management.
- Maintain profitability by adhering to budget guidelines and minimizing waste, theft, and errors.
- Effectively manage labor costs by ensuring appropriate staffing levels align with sales forecasts.
- Support payroll processing and labor scheduling.
5. Inventory & Supply Management:
- Assist in managing inventory of food, beverages, and supplies to maintain adequate stock and reduce shortages.
- Help in placing inventory orders and monitoring deliveries to ensure timely receipt and proper storage of supplies.
- Track inventory use and waste to maintain precise records.
6. Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including food handling and employee safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety inspections to maintain a secure work environment for all team members.
