At Guidepost Montessori, our Assistant Guides play a crucial role in nurturing children aged 0-6, fostering their independence, confidence, and a love for lifelong learning. Your Role
As an Assistant Guide, you will support a mixed-age Montessori classroom (Infant, Toddler, and Children’s House ages 3-6), creating a calm and engaging space that empowers children to learn and grow at their own pace. Your responsibilities will include preparing thoughtful learning environments and assisting children with individualized and small-group activities, all while embodying respect, patience, and care.
Most importantly, you will help children build self-confidence and discover their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe and support children’s individual needs
- Prepare and maintain an aesthetically pleasing and organized classroom
- Facilitate individual and small-group learning experiences
- Develop nurturing relationships with children and their families
- Collaborate with Lead Guides and team members to foster a strong classroom community
Qualifications
- Experience working with children ages 3-6 in an educational or childcare setting
- A positive, adaptable, and collaborative approach
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- Willingness to learn and grow within the Montessori philosophy (prior experience is a plus but not mandatory)
