As an Assistant Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in supporting the management and oversight of cleaning and maintenance services throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and other spaces. Your primary goal will be to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, quality, and comfort for our guests. You will also coordinate and supervise the housekeeping team, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery.
Reporting Structure:
- Internal: Directly reports to the Head Housekeeper and the Head of Accommodation.
- Collaborates closely with other hotel departments, including reception, maintenance, and guest services.
- External: Maintains communication with suppliers of cleaning products and other external partners related to hotel operations.
Main Responsibilities:
Supervision of Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Oversee the housekeeping team’s work in guest rooms and public areas, ensuring compliance with quality standards and hotel policies.
- Verify that all cleaning procedures are executed correctly and in accordance with established protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure they are in impeccable condition and free from defects.
Management of Cleaning Staff:
- Coordinate and assign daily tasks to the cleaning staff, including responsibilities for rooms, hallways, common areas, and restrooms.
- Monitor the efficiency and productivity of the team, ensuring adherence to cleaning timelines and requirements.
- Provide ongoing training to cleaning staff on procedures and quality standards.
- Conduct periodic performance evaluations of the cleaning team and offer constructive feedback.
Inventory Management and Supply Control:
- Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and necessary equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and efficient usage.
- Work with the purchasing department to handle requisitions for cleaning supplies and hygiene products.
Guest Needs Attention:
- Ensure that guest rooms and public areas are maintained at a level of cleanliness and presentation that guarantees guest satisfaction.
- Manage special requests from guests related to cleaning or comfort, such as additional pillows or towels.
Compliance with Standards and Policies:
- Ensure that the cleaning team adheres to safety protocols and hotel policies.
