Job Overview: As an Assistant Manager at Slim Chickens Cabot, you will be pivotal in leading restaurant operations to ensure adherence to high standards of food quality, safety, staffing, cleanliness, customer service, and cost control. You will work closely with the restaurant team, including shift managers and crew members, under the guidance of the General Manager to foster a positive work culture and achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in all restaurant positions, providing coaching and support where necessary.
- Oversee and hold subordinate staff accountable for their performance.
- Supervise food preparation to ensure it meets or exceeds brand standards.
- Address customer complaints efficiently and report issues to supervisors as needed.
- Ensure timely opening and closing of the restaurant.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant.
- Adhere to cash handling procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Create a safe working environment by following company policies and legal regulations.
- Report hazards promptly to supervisors and the Operating Partner.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, inventory management, food ordering, and maintenance requests.

- Train crew members to promptly address customer needs and demonstrate courtesy.
Cleanliness:
- Ensure crew members uphold cleanliness standards during shifts.
- Evaluate and follow the store's cleaning plan.
Training:
- Assist in crew orientation and training for new products.
- Cross-train crew members in multiple roles.
