Become a vital part of an exceptional and dynamic team at The Dorset! As the Assistant Manager, you will report directly to the General Manager and work collaboratively with our dedicated restaurant staff. Your involvement will span various aspects of the restaurant, ensuring that you stand out as a leader. You will gain insights into our highly sought-after systems and procedures while engaging closely with both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams. Every day, you will provide enthusiastic and professional leadership, contributing to our mission of delivering an extraordinary dining experience that leaves guests raving!
Your Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of exceptional food and beverage experiences, ensuring every guest interaction exemplifies genuine hospitality.
- Collaborate with the management team to oversee all facets of restaurant operations, including recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, payroll, invoicing, ordering, inventory management, scheduling, and enhancing overall productivity.
- Support floor leadership during service, upholding our high standards of execution, service flow, and guest satisfaction.
- Manage labor costs, operational efficiencies, and daily financial performance to align with business objectives.
- Conduct regular Health and Safety meetings, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulatory requirements.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with guests, vendors, team members, and senior leadership, promoting open communication and teamwork.
- Clearly communicate the restaurant’s vision and service standards to all staff, leading by example in professionalism, accountability, and positive energy.
- Address guest feedback and resolve concerns with professionalism and urgency, adopting a solutions-oriented approach.
- Demonstrate pride in your workplace by maintaining high integrity and business ethics while actively promoting our venue within the community.
- Contribute innovative ideas to enhance guest experiences, drive revenue, and continuously improve operational performance.
- Act as a collaborative team player, taking on additional responsibilities as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
