As the Assistant Manager - Accountant, you will take on a pivotal role as the technical authority in fund accounting, ensuring top-tier service delivery through your expertise and final review authority. You will be the go-to subject matter expert within the team on intricate accounting issues, driving technical decisions and pioneering process innovations while providing expert guidance on sophisticated client portfolios and advanced accounting modules.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct thorough reviews of fund accounting reports and other deliverables in accordance with established guidelines.
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of fund accounting transactions while supporting the review of operational procedures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address queries and issues, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and internal policies.
- Establish and uphold technical best practices, alongside a robust understanding of client-specific requirements.
- Lead efforts in technical excellence and innovation in processes, contributing to the development of technical standards within the team.
- Ensure data accuracy in client reports and dashboards.
- Facilitate regular performance reviews and engage with management for career development discussions for direct reports.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform final reviews and sign-offs on fund accounting activities, documenting exceptions and preparing error reports with recommended corrective actions.
- Coordinate with team members and clients on deadlines, planning, and workload distribution.
- Represent the team in client meetings, addressing complex issues and making informed decisions on transactions.
- Review and approve standard operating procedures prior to implementation.
- Monitor the resolution of all review comments and queries within agreed timeframes.
- Assist in client onboarding activities and manage any change requests related to ongoing tasks.
