JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Patient Care Manager for the Neonatal ICU plays a crucial role in supporting the clinical management and administrative coordination of our specialized patient care unit. This position acts as a vital resource for the unit, assisting the Patient Care Manager in achieving the unit's goals and objectives, while supervising patient care staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, therapeutic, and cost-effective patient care. The Assistant Patient Care Manager is responsible for implementing organizational policies and standards, providing consistent feedback to the Patient Care Manager, and upholding the highest standards of care and compliance with all relevant regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions of this role include mentoring and leading unit staff, overseeing the operational aspects of the unit, and assuming the responsibilities of the Patient Care Manager in their absence. Compliance with Joint Commission Requirements and hospital policies is paramount, including fostering cultural sensitivity, patient rights, safety, and ongoing education.
