Key Responsibilities:
Student Culture
- Collaborate with the Principal in establishing a nurturing, structured, and achievement-driven school culture.
- Facilitate training sessions for faculty on discipline, relationship-building, expectations, consistency, and classroom management.
- Oversee and implement a comprehensive school-wide discipline system, ensuring appropriate incentives and consequences across various settings (e.g., buses, arrival, dismissal, meals, and recess).
- Act as the primary contact for student behavior support flagged by teaching staff.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs and audits of school culture to maintain high standards of excellence among staff.
- Engage in problem-solving with students, teachers, and families to promote long-term behavioral improvements.
Family Engagement
- Build and sustain strong relationships with families from the start of the school year, serving as a model for effective family engagement within the school.
- Develop continuous professional learning opportunities for staff to enhance their family engagement skills.
- Assist teachers in fostering robust partnerships with parents through improved communication.
- Collaborate with faculty to create strategic plans for monitoring and enhancing family engagement.
- Design and implement initiatives to involve parents in their children's academic and character development.
- Hold meetings with students and families to discuss progress.
- Maintain clear lines of communication with all parents, sharing updates on student progress.
- Be present at open houses, parent-teacher conferences, and other family-oriented events.
- Lead ongoing workshops for parents focusing on academics and character growth.
