Successful candidates will demonstrate active engagement in research and the potential to develop a research program that attracts external funding. The Department of Psychology is part of the College of Science and Mathematics, which offers both Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Human Factors and I/O Psychology, alongside a comprehensive undergraduate program that includes concentrations in: (1) Industrial/Organizational Psychology, (2) Clinical Psychology, (3) Cognition and Perception, and (4) Behavioral Neuroscience. Applicants will be expected to teach a combination of undergraduate courses (e.g., Introduction to I/O, Research Methods, Statistics, Social Psychology) and graduate courses (e.g., Organizational Behavior/Psychology).
Additional teaching and research opportunities are available through interdisciplinary Ph.D. programs in Applied Science and Mathematics (IASM) and Biomedical Sciences (BMS) within the College of Science and Mathematics. Collaborations with other colleges, such as the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences, as well as partnerships with the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, present unique research opportunities. Our campus is home to the Human-Centered Sciences Lab and other collaborative initiatives.
