As the Assistant Reservations Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Reservations Manager to ensure the seamless operation of our hotel’s booking processes. Your commitment to efficient and accurate reservation handling will significantly enhance guest satisfaction and contribute to revenue maximization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations within the Reservations Department, ensuring tasks are completed promptly and effectively.
- Conduct quality checks on previous day’s reservations and validate VIP arrivals for precision and preparedness.
- Assist in recruitment, provide monthly and on-the-job training, and assess team performance to maintain exceptional service standards.
- Implement training programs designed to enhance professionalism, productivity, and superior guest service delivery.
- Encourage team motivation through coaching and adherence to hotel guidelines and local laws.
- Foster strong relationships with departments such as Front Office to optimize guest coordination and service quality.
- Collaborate with the Groups Department to manage room blocks, process rooming lists efficiently, and adjust allocations as necessary.
- Keep the Reservations Team informed of all hotel and corporate developments.
- Assist in managing Reservations Agents, ensuring efficient handling of travel agent commissions, guest inquiries, and pick-ups.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports to the Administration Office.
- Follow up on lost business opportunities and report insights to department leaders.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all business segments, rates, promotions, and departmental operations, executing tasks with finesse.
- Adhere strictly to hotel policies regarding fire safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
- Exhibit a thorough understanding and compliance with the Hotel Employee Handbook.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management to support hotel operations and enhance guest satisfaction.
- Perform any other assigned duties as directed by management.
