POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Assistant Store Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Store Manager by cultivating a customer-centric and product-focused sales culture. This role encompasses overseeing sales operations, ensuring asset protection, and managing human resources functions to provide an exceptional customer experience while maximizing profitability. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performance Culture
- Analyze sales reports and KPIs to identify business needs; collaborate with the Store Manager to implement effective in-store business and sales strategies.
- Set clear expectations, holding the store team accountable for meeting brand performance and behavior standards.
- Manage payroll and supply budgets efficiently.
- Oversee essential operational tasks including scheduling, target shrink audits, physical inventory management, opening and closing procedures, time sheet reviews, and payroll accuracy checks.
- Ensure financial activities are conducted in compliance with policies, including cash handling, price adjustments, and merchandise management; verify that all transactions at the register are accurate and policy-compliant.
- Guarantee adherence to applicable laws, loss prevention policies, and operational procedures; conduct training for associates to reinforce compliance.
- Administer all operational processes including inventory receipt, daily merchandise replenishment, and preparation for physical inventories.
- Maintain visual presentation, organization, and facility upkeep in alignment with brand standards.
- Foster a high-performance culture, inspiring the sales team to achieve set sales and productivity targets.
- Train and mentor the selling team to ensure they possess comprehensive product knowledge both online and in-store.
- Provide training and support for locate fulfillment and sales.
- Inspire and motivate the store team, developing a shared vision and embodying core values.
- Encourage an inclusive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Communicate effectively with store teams and the Store Manager to facilitate positive changes.
- Seek personal development opportunities and actively request feedback to enhance leadership skills.
