At Guidepost Montessori, our Assistant Guides play a critical role in nurturing children aged 0–6 as they cultivate independence, confidence, and a lifelong passion for learning.

Your Role
As an Assistant Guide, you will support a mixed-age Montessori classroom (Infant, Toddler, and Children’s House ages 3–6), fostering a serene and engaging atmosphere where children can explore, learn, and grow at their unique pace. You will assist in creating intentional learning spaces and guide children through individualized and small group activities with respect, patience, and care.
Most importantly, you will help instill self-confidence in children, guiding them to realize their potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Observe children closely to support their individual needs
- Assist in preparing and maintaining a beautiful, organized classroom environment
- Facilitate individual and small-group learning activities
- Build warm, respectful relationships with children and their families
- Collaborate with Lead Guides and team members to cultivate a strong classroom community
Qualifications
- Experience working with children ages 3–6 in educational or childcare settings
- A positive, adaptable, and collaborative attitude
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- Interest in the Montessori approach (prior experience is a plus but not mandatory)
