Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:Assist the Creative Director throughout the design process, from initial inspiration to final production.Maintain daily communication with sales and production teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of design sheets.Translate the Creative Director's vision into actionable designs that align with market trends while reinforcing brand identity and business strategy.Create design sheets using Exenta (PLM System).Revise reorder bodies with innovative concepts while incorporating emerging trends.Source trims, prints, and unique fabrics from vendors and the market.Select appropriate linings.Set up new silhouettes in prints and fabrics in our in-house sewing room for cutting and sewing.Support the lead designer in crafting and organizing a cohesive collection.Develop inspiration boards.Qualifications:3+ years of experience in fashion design is required.Background in daytime dress design is preferred.Understanding of garment construction and patterns.Proficient in Microsoft Excel.Strong verbal and written communication skills; a proactive and self-motivated worker.A team player with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm.Knowledge of Exenta is a plus, but not mandatory.Basic understanding of pattern construction is beneficial, though not required.Must be fluent in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; familiarity with Procreate is advantageous, but not essential.Proficient in creating tech packs.Strong grasp of placement prints and effective layout strategies within garment patterns to optimize fabric usage.Ability to sketch (Flats/Floats) in Procreate or Illustrator.Quick learner, eager to understand all aspects of the industry.Must possess a keen eye for merchandising and effective fabric/garment assorting.Willingness to work long hours when necessary.A portfolio showcasing your work is preferred!
