Qualifications
Must be available to work on-site in Henry County for 2–3 days each month, depending on project requirements (the site is approximately 33 miles south of Atlanta).Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.Proven experience in data center construction is essential.8–10+ years of experience in cost management or project controls on large-scale capital projects, ideally in mission-critical, industrial, or high-tech sectors.Demonstrated success in a construction consultancy environment.Comprehensive understanding of MEP systems, data center infrastructure, and large-scale campus-style developments.Advanced skills in estimating, budgeting, financial reporting, cost control systems, and Earned Value Management (EVM).Extensive experience with procurement strategies and the commercial management of contractor/vendor contracts.

Turner & Townsend is on the lookout for a talented and experienced Associate Director specializing in Cost Management / Quantity Surveying with a strong background in data center construction. You will provide strategic direction and expert cost management services for a significant, mission-critical hyperscale data center project.
This project is a large-scale, multi-phase greenfield initiative aimed at bolstering long-term capacity in the data center industry.
As a senior leader in this client-facing role, you will act as the primary commercial interface, ensuring effective cost governance, commercial rigor, and strategic decision-making throughout the project lifecycle. You will spearhead the creation of baseline budgets, oversee financial controls, influence procurement and contracting strategies, and enhance value, risk, and performance metrics as the program progresses into active development.
To thrive in this position, you will need exceptional communication abilities, strong commercial insight, and the capacity to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders while guiding internal teams toward success.
The project site is approximately 33 miles south of Atlanta in Henry County. This position allows for remote work, with an anticipated on-site commitment of 2–3 days each month, contingent on project phase and client needs.
