Facilitate the effective operation and continuous improvement of MUFG’s AI governance framework, ensuring responsible use of AI tools in line with the EU AI Act 2024 and relevant legal standards.
Offer expert guidance and support to stakeholders regarding compliance with AI governance and legal obligations, covering both internally developed AI tools and those sourced from third-party providers, while distinguishing between AI governance and data protection responsibilities, especially when personal data is involved.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to perform AI assessments aimed at identifying and mitigating risks, while keeping the AI inventory current. Assist team members with data protection assessments as needed.
Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization.
Lead AI training and awareness programs to promote understanding and compliance.
Support governance and oversight forums with reports on AI assessments, associated risks, and the progress of the AI Governance program.
Evaluate client and third-party provider contracts for compliance with AI-related clauses.
Monitor regulatory developments relevant to AI.
Assist in responding to client and regulatory inquiries related to AI, including requests for proposals, due diligence questionnaires, and audits.
As part of the Data Protection (Privacy) team, expertise in data protection law, conducting impact assessments, vendor evaluations, and personal data breach assessments is highly advantageous.
