In the capacity of Associate Director of Sales - Classifieds, you will spearhead the sales initiatives for the classifieds business in Riyadh. This pivotal role involves establishing the sales function, cultivating new products, contributing to market analyses, negotiating and securing deals with agencies, and fostering relationships with governmental bodies in the region. You will work closely with the regional head of sales to set and track sales targets for the classifieds sales team, in alignment with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate a regional sales strategy to achieve the business plan objectives established by the group.
- Collaborate with backend and strategy teams on zoning and product pricing to maximize sales volume.
- Recruit sales personnel and maintain an optimal team size to meet sales targets.
- Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for sales across all levels in conjunction with the strategy team.
- Analyze and report on sales KPIs regularly to the business heads.
- Set monthly and quarterly targets for the sales team in collaboration with the strategy team.
- Continuously assess listing trends and product performance, recommending modifications as necessary.
- Identify best practices to enhance sales processes and overall marketing efficiencies.
- Manage P&L to ensure regional business profitability aligns with the business plan.
- Maintain relationships with repeat clients to ensure satisfaction and foster future business opportunities.
- Evaluate new business development opportunities to expand overall business.
- Provide ongoing coaching to team members to help them realize their full sales potential, necessitating the ability to support and motivate them.
- Conduct Training Needs Assessments (TNA) for regional sales staff.
- Implement sales training programs based on TNA in partnership with sales strategy leads.
- Initiate performance improvement interventions with guidance from the sales strategy team.
- Work with sales operations teams to ensure optimal service levels and seamless agency and customer interactions.
- Conduct regular market research and competitive analysis.
- Propose process improvements to tech and strategy teams to enhance sales operations.
- Advocate for enhancements to the company portal to boost sales effectiveness.
- Design and implement team and consumer promotions to drive sales growth.
